Metal Rat 2020

2020
CHINESE NEW YEAR of the METAL RAT
January 25, 2020 ~ February 12, 2021

According to an ancient legend, the Rat was the first of the Chinese ‘Animals’ to reach the Jade Emperor’s party to which all Twelve Animals had been invited. The Emperor had decreed that the first one to arrive will forever begin the cycle of the year. The smart Rat managed to arrive first by a bit of trickery. He rode on the back of the mighty Ox, in order to swim the river and jump to the other side before everyone else.

Since then the Rat always begins a new cycle of the Twelve Years Chinese Zodiac. 2020 though is an even more important new beginning because, after sixty years during which the Twelve Animals belonged to the Earth Element (there are Five Elements in Chinese Cosmology), from this year onward the focus will shift to the Metal Element and will continue to do so for the next sixty years.

From the above it is obvious that the Rats of this world (people born in 1912, 1924, 1936, 1948, 1960, 1972, 1984, 1996, 2008 and 2020) are clever, taking advantage of all opportunities that appear on their horizon, their instincts very alert. They are also charming, vivacious, energetic, witty and mentally flexible. They are full of initiative and optimism too, but cautious and practical as well, a great combination to succeed in all manner of enterprise. Despite their abundance of vitality Rats also enjoy the quiet life, after gaining the comfort they crave.

The Metal Element in Chinese Cosmology adds tenacity and will power to each one of the Twelve Animals, with the risk of becoming too rigid and inflexible at times. On the positive side this Element enhances self-confidence and also instills a natural respect for others.

In the Year of the Rat we can all be a bit more alert to new opportunities and clever in managing our resources. Like the Rat did to come first in the race we may have more chances to succeed by thinking out of the box, thus finding solutions to our problems we could not envision before; and especially by remaining optimistic in the face of difficulties and setbacks.

    • Note that the garden activities associated with the Moon Sign depend also on the cycle the Moon is in. The Moon transiting through a fertile or productive Sign will no be so favorable if the Phase is not a productive one, and vice-versa. For best results the Sign and Phase of the Moon have to be considered together.

The Balsamic Moon is certainly no time for planting or sowing, but it is ideal instead for cultivation and soil conditioning, slow release fertilizing, composting, mulching.
It is great week for eradicating pests and unwanted plants and also to prune in order to retard growth, but only if the Moon is transiting a Non Fertile Sign.

So, for instance, plants with thorns and prickles that they use as weapons against predators. Or plants with hot or acrid or sharp taste etc.

In the garden Watery Pisces is very fertile, particularly suitable for growing water plants, like Water Chestnuts and Lotus. It is also a great time for propagating cuttings, grafting, irrigation, pruning to encourage re-growth, but not potatoes that may sprout too soon. This planting however is better left for the period between New Moon and Last Quarter; and no planting/sowing done during the last week of the Lunar Month.

Romantic garden walks, music ensembles, yoga sessions, spiritual gathering, and relaxed picnics could do well too.

The Last Quarter Moon is the beginning of the fourth and last waning week, before New Moon. We should stop all sowing and planting, and concentrate on soil conditioning, cultivation, slow release fertilizing and composting. This phase is suitable also for harvesting and storing fruit and vegetables; as well as getting rid of unwanted weeds and pests, particularly if the Moon transits any of the Fire Signs, or Non Fertile Earthy Virgo, or the Non Fertile Air Signs of Gemini and Aquarius.

Aquarius Moon in the garden

In the garden Aquarius, like an other Air Sign, Gemini, is considered too dry and barren for growing anything, but Pine Trees (?).

Its energy is suitable for cultivating, general maintenance and harvesting. Pruning, pest control, weeding would be better left for the third week of the lunar month, after the Last Quarter.

A ‘work day’ or other group activities in the garden will be ideal.

  • The following are the Edible Plants, Herbs, Trees and Flowers since ancient times associated with Aquarius, and also with Saturn, Aquarius’ traditional Ruler, the archetypal god of work, responsibility, old age, practical earthy wisdom, the ancestors, etc. As a Ruler of Aquarius Saturn also refers to the mythical Golden Age or Garden of Eden over which Old Saturn was said to preside, before the fall.
In modern times Aquarius is commonly associated with Uranus too, its ‘modern ruler’. The affiliation with Uranus would suggest those plants in the natural world with eccentric or unique forms or functions, rare or difficult to find, growing in remote inaccessible places, like Orchids for instance or ancient cycads.
Healing herbs and Plants used to alleviate high blood pressure, help circulation, clear blood vessels, heal heart conditions are also under the tutelage of Aquarius, which governs blood circulation in the physical body.

Edible Plants: Barley, the Brassica Family, like Broccoli, Cauliflowers, Cabbage; Quinces, Red Betts, Sloes,Tamarind,

Healing Herbs: Chamomile, Comfrey, Evening Primrose, Ferns (for coughs), Frankincense, Myrrh, Skullcap, Valerian.

Disseminating Moon Phase in the garden

  • Note that the garden activities associated with the Moon Sign depend also on the cycle the Moon is in. The Moon transiting through a fertile or productive Sign will no be so favorable if the Phase is not a productive one, and vice-versa. For best results the Sign and Phase of the Moon have to be considered together.

In the garden, despite the rapidly diminishing Moon light, the Disseminating Phase is a productive time for growing things and also to apply slow release fertilizer. The fact that these are the last available days for planting before the Last Quarter should work as an incentive to get going. Favorite plants to grow during this first week of the waning cycle are the Perennials, Biennials and Root Crops because the Moon energy is being stored underground in anticipation of the resting period not too far ahead.

Capricorn Moon in the garden

In the garden Earthy Capricorn is traditionally considered a Productive Sign, especially suitable for growing Perennials, Biennials,Trees and Vines. Any planting indeed that is meant to last a long time is well done in this earthy and reliable Sign.
It is also a good Moon transit to plant root crops like potatoes and carrots. Fertilizing, especially slow release, recommended too.

***

  • The following are the Edible Plants, Herbs, Trees and Flowers since ancient times associated with Capricorn, and also with Saturn, Capricorn‘s traditional Ruler, the archetypal god of work, responsibility, old age, practical earthy wisdom, the ancestors. Thoughtful Capricorn is said to ‘rule’ evergreens, and solitary trees, dark, impenetrable woods, or trees and shrubs growing away from other species. Healing Plants traditionally used against coughs and bronchitis, and those use against skin ailments, like Eczema and psoriasis, also kidneys stones, and many of old age chronic common illnesses, as crippling arthritis, sclerosis, paralysis, chronic pain. Plants like barley that have a cooling effect on the body are also said to belong to Saturn and Capricorn. Because Saturn is the bringer of overly serious and melancholy moods under his rulership are also the healing herbs and plants used to treat depression, nervous conditions, anxiety, insomnia. Finally even poisonous and narcotic plants, like Hellebore, Hemlock, the Nightshade family, Daphne Mezereon, Marijuana, Monkshood.

Edible Plants: Barley, the Brassica Family, like Broccoli, Cauliflowers, Cabbage; Quinces, Red Betts, Sloes,Tamarind,

Healing Herbs: Comfrey, Daphne Mezereon, Evening Primrose, Ferns (for coughs), Hellebore, Hemlock, Marijuana, Monkshood, Nightshade, Rosemary, Rue, Sarsaparilla, Solomon Seal, St John Worth, Tarragon, Thyme, Wintergreen, Yew.

Tree GlyphTrees: sturdy, resilient, often evergreen trees and shrubs, not in need of constant nourishment. Deep rooted, unmovable, dark, often solitary and ancient trees. Cypress, Fir, Beech, Elms. Trees that show their annual rings and therefore are associated with aging, the stage of life governed by Saturn.

Flower Glyph pinkOrnamental and Flowering Plants: Baby’s Breath, Camellias, Hemp, Ivy Flowers, Knapweed, Magnolia, Monkshood (poisonous), Pansy, Scotch Broom, Trillium.

Scorpio Moon in the garden

Scorpio is a Water Sign and a very fertile Sign. Everything should do well when planted in Scorpio, if the Moon is in the right phase.
Scorpio is also suitable for propagating cuttings, grafting and deep irrigation. It promotes sturdy roots reaching down deep for moisture. Corn, squashes and tomatoes seem to like particularly to be transplanted when the Moon is in Scorpio.

  • The following are the Edible Plants, Herbs, Trees and Flowers since ancient times associated with Scorpio, and also with Mars, Scorpio‘s traditional Ruler, the archetypal god of action, assertion and conflicts. This is why plants with thorns and prickles that they use as weapons against predators are attributed to Mars and the Signs he rules, Scorpio and Aries; same for plants with hot, acrid or sharp taste etc.
Another important connection is that of Scorpio with the sexual organs and functions. So medicinal herbs/plants improving sexual vigor and enhancing libido (aphrodisiacs) and those helpful in the treatment of sexual dysfunctions. Because Scorpio is also connected to the last portion of the intestines, the rectum, herbs used to heal hemorrhoids are also linked with this Sign.

Edible Plants: Chilli, Hops, Nettle, Onions, Peppers, Pomegranate, Radish.

Healing Herbs: Aloe, Barberry, Basil, Capers, Coriander, Don Quai, Ergot, Garlic, Gentian, Ginseng, Horseradish, Mustard, Nettle, Pennyroyal, Radishes, Sarsaparilla, Senna, Tarragon, Tobacco, Wormwood .

Tree GlyphTrees: Hawthorns, the Grumpy Oak, so called for its crooked branches, the oldest living trees in Europe. Palms are also attributed to Scorpio, due to their phallic trunk and abundance of seeds.

Flower Glyph pinkOrnamental and Flowering Plants: Anemones, Black-eyed Susan, Blackthorns, Cactus Flowers, Dark Red Flowers, Gardenias, Gentian, Heather, Holly, Rhododendrons, Scarlet Monkey, Yews. And all phallic looking flowers, like Calla Lilies

The Moon transiting through a fertile or productive Sign will no be so favorable if the Phase is not a productive one, and vice-versa. For best results the Sign and Phase of the Moon have to be considered together.

In the garden the Full Moon is a great divide: before the exact phase the increasing light and surging energy are particularly good for Annuals and above the ground crops; after the phase Perennials, Biennials, Trees and Root crops are more suited. Traditionally no sowing or planting are recommended however twelve hours before or after the phase itself. In this instance the best day would be then May 8, from 8.45 am until 5.15 pm, when the Moon enters Sagittarius. I personally like to take advantage of a great fertile Full Moon in Scorpio and sow/transplant during the whole Scorpio transit, no matter how close to the exact phase.

In the garden Watery Pisces is very fertile, particularly suitable for growing water plants, like Water Chestnuts and Lotus. Moon GlyphThe Last Quarter Moon is the beginning of the fourth and last waning week, before New Moon.

Moon Glyph 2The Balsamic Moon Phase is certainly no time for planting or sowing, but it is ideal instead for cultivation and soil conditioning, slow release fertilizing, composting, mulching.
It is great week for eradicating pests and unwanted plants and also to prune in order to retard growth, but only if the Moon is transiting a Non Fertile Sign.

GEMINI, Moon of mental flexibility and communication
Inquisitive and social

The WAXING MOON TRANSITS GEMINI from Saturday, August 24, 0.33 am,
to Monday, August 26, 7.05 am, with the ingress into CANCER

Suitable energy for traveling, studying, researching, reading, writing, teaching, moving, walking, running, advertising, talking, brain storming, contact with siblings, computer work, accounting, graphic designing, artistic skills. Purchase of books, magazines, school gear, cars, bikes, art equipment. Quick action, rapid response, motivated by present circumstances and the curiosity to know. Adaptable mental energy. Friendly, sisterly, brotherly feelings, independent, needing change and variety. Beware of inconstancy, nervousness, irritability, mental games, gossips, double dealings, cold intellectualism, superficiality.

  • In the garden Gemini is considered too dry and barren for growing anything. Its energy is suitable for cultivating, general maintenance, pruning, pest control, weeding, and harvesting. Today the energy could be right for designing the garden, for parties and get-togethers with friends and siblings.
  • Healing Herbs: Coltsfoot, Hyssop, Lemon Balm, Mullein.
A note: the garden activities associated with the Moon Sign depend also on the cycle the Moon is in. The Moon transiting through a fertile or productive Sign will no be so favorable if the Phase is not a productive one, and vice-versa. Last Quarter Moon

The GEMINI LAST QUARTER MOON PHASE begins on Saturday, August 24, 0.55 am,
and ends on Tuesday, August 27, 3.05 pm, with CANCER BALSAMIC MOON PHASE

If the First Quarter presented us with external challenges to overcome in order to achieve the goal promised by the Full Moon, at the Last Quarter we feel that whatever bar our progress is within us and not without. We can now take responsibility for our life and circumstances. The battle needs to be fought with oneself and not other people. Both Quarters are crucial times that suggest division and strife, but while at the First Quarter we could find refuge in the illusion that the cause of all the problems was someone or something else, now we can clearly see how we contribute to whatever crisis we may be experiencing. The Moon is now 90 degrees behind the Sun, another right angle. The friction generated by the inner dialogue could be very creative if you don’t let it depress you.

  • In the garden we should stop all sowing and planting, and concentrate on soil conditioning and cultivation. Suitable energy also for harvesting and getting rid of unwanted weeds and pests.

Click the image to navigate to Frida Kahlo Astrology Page, with her Birth Chart plus the Progressions and Transits active at the time of important events in her life, and reading of her Birth Chart and other relevant Charts. Studying the fascinating and tragic life of artist-activist Frida Kahlo can be very rewarding to the astrological student. As a young woman she had dreamed to become a doctor but her destiny decided otherwise, due to the fact that she first contracted Polio as a child of six, and then, at the age of 18, was severely injured in a bus accident, thus becoming a life long patient of doctors who proved unable to help her. Salient moments in her life were the day of the bus accident that nearly killed her and caused her life long suffering, September 17 1925, age 18; her marriage, which proved very tempestuous, to artist-activist Diego Rivera, twenty years her senior, on August 21 1929, age 22; and her death, a suspected suicide by morphine overdose, during the night of July 13 1954. Frida became an artist because of her ongoing health problems and constant state of physical pain, so there would not be the current cult status of Frida Kahlo the artist if those tragedies had not befell her !

TAURUS, Moon of contemplation and contentment
Loyal and sensual

The WAXING MOON TRANSITS TAURUS from Wednesday, August 21, 2.36 pm,
to Saturday, August 24, 0.33 am, with the ingress into GEMINI

Suitable energy for practical activities, making money, business, building, engineering, woodworking, sculpting, pottery, cooking, massage, healing, meditating, contemplating, being still and content, artistic, sensual. All pleasurable activities. Purchase of beautiful objects, furniture, furnishings, clothes, flowers, art works, jewellery, land. Slow, deliberate action, motivated by the desire for security and ease. Determination, use of will power. Affectionate, sensual display of feelings, supportive and loyal. Beware of laziness, self indulgence, stubbornness, intolerance, prejudice, jealousy.

  • In the garden Taurus is considered a fairly productive Sign, especially suitable for Root Crops, like potatoes and carrots, helping to strengthen the root system and to make plants sturdier. It is also a great Sign for Flower Bulbs and other ornamental plants, being sacred to Venus. Great time to be lazy in the garden, lull in a hammock and watch the grass grow.
  • Healing Herbs: Fenugreek, Liquorice, Slippery Elm.
A note: the garden activities associated with the Moon Sign depend also on the cycle the Moon is in. The Moon transiting through a fertile or productive Sign will no be so favorable if the Phase is not a productive one, and vice-versa. For best results the Sign and Phase of the Moon have to be considered together.

Disseminating Moon

The ARIES DISSEMINATING MOON PHASE begins on Tuesday, August 20, 1.27 am,
and ends on Saturday, August 24, 0.55 am, with the GEMINI LAST QUARTER MOON PHASE

The Moon is now on her return journey. This phase occurs three and half days past the Full Moon. It has been given this name because this is a time for spreading and sharing the knowledge or realization we have gathered at the Full Moon. It is the first step on the inner journey which began at the Full Moon, but it can still be an active time in the world too, with the need to reach out to others. The Moon has past her prime, but her still strong light is a reminder of her recent fullness.

  • In the garden, despite the rapidly diminishing Moon light, this is a productive time for growing things and also to apply slow release fertilizer. The fact that these are the last available days for planting before the Last Quarter should work as an incentive to get going. Favourite plants to grow during this first week of the waning cycle are the Perennials, Biennials and Root Crops because the Moon energy is being stored underground in anticipation of the resting period not too far ahead.

Click the image to navigate to Steve Jobs Astrology Page. Steve Jobs was born when the Crescent Moon was transiting Aries in the Seventh House, and the Sun Pisces, in the Sixth House. The Moon only aspects were two sequi-square to Saturn and Pluto, in Scorpio and Leo, the Third and Twelfth Houses respectively. Of some interest to the student of Astrology is the fact that Jobs’ arch rival Bill Gates was born the same year, 1955, and also had the Moon in Aries at birth, same degree, as well as Saturn in the same degree of Scorpio ! Jobs’ Pisces Sun was in a Grand Trine with the South Node in Cancer and Neptune on the last degree of Libra, between the Sixth, Tenth and Second House, areas of work career and wealth. Steve Jobs’ Ascendant (birth 7.15 pm) was Virgo and the Ruling Planet Mercury was in Aquarius, in square to Saturn in Scorpio, from the Fifth to the Third Houses. This square was the only major aspect of his Ruling Planet. His Venus was in Capricorn, on the cusp of the Fifth House, in opposition to Jupiter and Uranus conjunct on the cusp of the Eleventh House. Venus was also in perfect sextile to Saturn in Scorpio, in the Third House, and in far square to Mars. Mars was on the last degree of Leo, in the Eighth House, in opposition to Neptune in the Second House. Venus, Mars, Jupiter-Uranus and Neptune were involved in a wide (not exact) Grand Cross in Cardinal Signs. Jupiter and Uranus in Cancer, on the cusp of the Eleventh House, were in trine to Saturn in Scorpio, in the Third House. Saturn was also in square to Pluto in Leo in the Twelfth House.

ARIES, Moon of initiative and action
Energetic and fiery

The WAXING MOON TRANSITS ARIES from Monday, August 19, 2.32 am,
to Wednesday, August 21, 2.36 pm, with the ingress into TAURUS

Suitable energy for taking on challenges, participating in competitions, performing daring feats, arduous exercises, physical work, to begin new ventures, or to perform action for its own sake. Purchase of sporting gear, protective gear, hats, tools, stoves, firewood, machinery, cars, bikes, leather objects. The mood is decisive, enterprising, impulsive, militant, spirited, visionary. Honest, direct expression of feelings, strong instinct, but somewhat insensitive. Beware of emotional extremes, head strong, bossy, uncompromising attitudes, lack of empathy, antagonism, aggression, selfishness.

  • In the garden Aries is traditionally considered too hot, dry and barren for growing anything. Its energy is very suitable instead for cultivating, general maintenance, pruning, pest control, weeding, and harvesting. Plants sown with the Moon in Aries will soon go to seed, due to this Sign’s notorious impatience. Suitable only for early crops.
  • Healing Herbs: Burdock, Gotu Kola, Red Clover.

Full Moon

The AQUARIUS FULL MOON PHASE begins on Thursday, August 15, 10.29 pm,
and ends on Tuesday, August 20, 1.27 am, with the ARIES DISSEMINATING MOON PHASE

At Full Moon the Moon has reached a distance of 180 degrees ahead of the Sun, becoming diametrically opposed to it, with planet Earth in the middle. This is symbolically harvest time, when we reap what we have sown in the waxing period. We might experience success or failure, but either way we are coming to some important realization. The cycle has now reached its half way mark and is at its most intense. Like the New Moon a fortnight earlier this is also a time for new beginnings, not in the naïve, tentative way of the New Moon, but in a more mature and conscious way.

  • In the garden the Full Moon is a great divide: before the exact phase the increasing light and surging energy are particularly good for Annuals and above the ground crops; after the phase Perennials, Biennials, Trees and Root crops are more suited. Traditionally no sowing or planting are recommended however twelve hours before or after the phase itself. Some authors suggest even 24 hours.

Martin Luther King

Click the image to navigate to Mertin Luther King Astrology Page, with his Birth Chart plus the Progressions and Transits at the time of his assassination and death. Martin Luther King Jr was born when the Moon was transiting Pisces, in the Eleventh House, and the Sun Capricorn, conjunct the Mid-Heaven, in the Tenth House. His Ascendant was Taurus and so Venus in Pisces, conjunct the Moon in the Eleventh House (contribution to the collective), was his Ruling Planet. The Pisces Moon was in a T-Cross formation with Mars in Gemini and Saturn in Sagittarius (opposite to each other) between the Eleventh, Second and Eighth Houses. His Mercury was in reforming-revolutionary Aquarius in the Tenth House. His Sun was in square to Jupiter in Taurus and the Twelfth House. A Fire/Earth Grand Trine united his Jupiter, Saturn and Neptune, between the Twelfth, Eighth and Fifth Houses. Martin Luther King was assassinated by a white supremacist on April 4 1968 in Memphis, Tennessee. He was shot at 6.01 pm and died at 7.05 pm the same day. Few months later, after the alleged assassin was captured and had confessed to the crime, conspiracy theories began in earnest, attempting to implicate government officials in King’s murder. The alleged killer also withdrew his earlier confession and claimed, until his death, that King was killed by conspirators and not himself. The family of Martin Luther King asked for a trial believing in the man’s account of events. A conspiracy has never been proved however, despite many separate investigations.

Balsamic Moon

The TAURUS LAST QUARTER MOON PHASE. begins on Thursday, July 25, 11.17 am,
and ends on Monday, July 29, 4.58 am, with the GEMINI BALSAMIC MOON PHASE.

The Moon is 45 degrees behind the Sun, only three and half days to New Moon. The Moon light is decreasing rapidly and the lunar energy is now being stored as nutrients in the seeds of future plants. It is also the calm before the storm of activities of the New Moon. Time for contemplation, self reflection and healing. The title Balsamic Moon is derived from the word ‘balsam’, unguent which helps to relieve pain and cure ills. During this time we could distil the essence of our past experience, from the last New Moon up to this point, reflect upon what we have experienced and learnt, getting psychologically ready for the cycle which is about to open. This is a spiritual phase, more suitable for meditation and relaxation than action.

  • In the garden it is certainly no time for planting or sowing, but it is ideal for cultivation, soil conditioning, eradicating pests and unwanted plants and to prune in order to retard growth.

The Waning/Waxing Moon transits Cancer from Tuesday, July 2, to Thursday, July 4, between the Taurus Balsamic and the Cancer New Moon Phase, the latter a Total Solar Eclipse on 10°37′ Cancer

  • In the garden Cancer is one of the most, if not the most fertile of all Signs. Everything should do well when planted in Cancer, if the Moon is in the right phase. Plants particularly associated with Cancer are those with a high water content, such as Cucumbers, Lettuce, Melons. Cancer is also suitable for propagating cuttings, grafting and deep irrigation.
  • Healing Herbs: Papaya leaf, Peppermint, Spearmint.

The TAURUS BALSAMIC MOON PHASE starts on Saturday, June 29, 5.11 pm,
and ends on Wednesday, July 3, 5.16 am, with the CANCER NEW MOON PHASE, also a TOTAL SOLAR ECLIPSE on 10°37′ CANCER

The CANCER NEW MOON PHASE, also a TOTAL SOLAR ECLIPSE on 10°37′ CANCER,
starts on Wednesday, July 3, 5.16 am, and ends on Saturday, July 6, 12.24 pm, with the Leo Crescent Moon Phase

The New Moon is the beginning of the Waxing cycle, the sacred marriage of Moon and Sun, Yin and Yang, Night and Day. For three days the Moon becomes invisible. Astrologically we say that the Moon is now conjunct the Sun (on the same degree of Longitude along the Ecliptic). Every month the New Moon occurs in a different Sign. So the Aries New Moon in March/April is always followed by the Taurus New Moon in April/May and so on. New Moons are symbols of new beginning and represent a great time to start something or make important changes in our lives. The energy is right for everything new you would like to try.

  • In the garden this is traditionally a time to begin sowing and planting because the increasing Moon light will help plants to emerge and flourish. Moisture becomes more and more available as the light of the Moon intensifies, up to the Full Moon. Traditionally however no sowing or planting are recommended within twelve hours of the phase itself.

The Waning Moon is transiting Gemini from Sunday, June 30, to Monday, July 1, during the Taurus Balsamic Moon Phase

Amelia Hearhart was born when the Moon was transiting Gemini and the Sun Leo. Her Ascendant was Taurus and the Ruling Planet Venus was in Gemini. The Gemini Moon was applying to Venus by conjunction. And Venus was also aligned, by conjunction, to Pluto and Neptune, in fact just about midpoint between them. During an attempt to make a circumnavigational flight of the globe in 1937 Earhart and navigator Fred Noonan disappeared over the central Pacific Ocean near Howland Island. The last Radio Signal from their plane was detected on July 2 1937, at 8.45 am. The fate of the two aviators has never been discovered. Theories/speculations abound.

GEMINI, Moon of mental flexibility and communication
Inquisitive and social

The WANING MOON TRANSITS GEMINI from Sunday, June 30, 7.08 am,
to Tuesday, July 2, 11.23 am, with the ingress into CANCER

For best results the Sign and Phase of the Moon have to be considered together.
